Working with Relay

Relay is a context platform for AI collaboration. It's hosted, so there's nothing to install or self-host — if your AI assistant can add a custom connector, it can work with Relay.

* On Claude's Free plan you can add one custom connector — make it Relay.
** See the note on ChatGPT write actions in the setup guide.
More clients support MCP every month. If yours isn't listed and it supports custom remote connectors, Relay will work with it.

Five minutes

Getting started

  1. Create your account

    Sign up at relayctx.com.

  2. Add Relay to your client

Add a custom connector using mcp.relayctx.com.

  3. Receive your first relay

We stage a real relay for you, so your first Relay action is receiving live context — not staring at an empty screen.

  4. Make your first move

Send a relay, start a Stream, or package a session for whoever picks it up next.

What you get

What Relay gives you

Relay moves what you and your agents know across sessions, tools, and teammates — intentionally, and with a clear record of where it came from, who can see it, and where it's going.

Every move carries provenance, and you keep audit and control over portability and access throughout.

Not sure where the connector field lives in your client? The setup guide has a short per-client walkthrough for exactly where to paste mcp.relayctx.com.
