# Changelog — marketing/

Outward-facing material: stealth pages, marketing-site candidates, decks and
concepts, direction studies, early site generations. Newest first; full detail
in `git log -- marketing/`. Pre-2026-07-19 work lived under `web/` —
`git log --follow` traces files across the move.

## 2026-08-10 — register pages synced to production invite-code presentation
- The invite-code field on the production register page (relay-platform
  `web/relayctx/register`) now ships as an **open-by-default, collapsible
  disclosure** — visible but subdued, never a peer of the required fields.
  Ported that presentation to both stealth register pages
  (`web/stealth/register.html`, `register-v34.html`).
- Synced the code contract everywhere it had gone stale: minted codes are
  2–32 chars incl. hyphens, so `web/stealth/relay-access.js` `CODE_RE`
  (was the old `{4,10}` that rejected every real minted code), input
  normalisation, and hint copy now match the production JS; all register
  variants' `maxlength` raised 10/12 → 32.
- v34/v35 site candidates: label "Activation code" → "Invite code", and the
  "unlocks immediately" / "skips the line" claims corrected to "fast-tracks
  your request" — only auto-approve-flagged codes skip review since the
  early-access funnel unified on the per-code `auto_approve` gate.

## 2026-07-29 — fixed stale Direction Explorations hrefs + archived holding.html
- The four "Direction Explorations" cards (Minimal/Soft/Swiss/Maximal)
  pointed at `/concepts/explore/*.html`, a leftover from before the
  2026-07-19 restructure — the files actually live at
  `/marketing/web/explore/*.html`. They still resolved (a legacy `_redirects`
  301 papered over it), but the source hrefs were wrong. Fixed to point
  directly at the real path.
- `web/holding.html` existed but was never carded — added as an archived
  card. Found by the new `scripts/check_index_cards.py` CI check (see
  concepts/CHANGELOG.md).

## 2026-07-19 — area restructure
- **Website material nested under `web/`** — marketing holds more than the
  site, so the site chooser (`web/site/`), stealth (`web/stealth/`), concept
  sets (`web/v34-*`, `web/v35-*`), early generations (`web/v1`–`v5`), one-page
  versions, and direction studies (`web/explore/`) all live under
  `marketing/web/`. Non-web marketing (animatics, and decks/social in their own
  areas) stays above it.
- Folder created in the creative-domain restructure: old `web/marketing`,
  `web/stealth`, concept sets, early generations, and root `animatics.html`
  homed here. Old URLs 301 via `_redirects`.

## 2026-07 (pre-restructure)
- **07-07** v3.5 concepts: Pulse pillar becomes Stream, old Streams card
  becomes Series (RCTX-49).
- **07-03** v35-neutral + v35-bold full microsites fanned out; 4-cell matrix +
  placeholder direction chooser at `site/`; shared per-direction `site.css`;
  stealth pages → v3.5; mobile nav for the microsites.
- **Earlier** v3.4 sets reclassified (`v34-bold` ← the original "v3.5
  concepts"); stealth register/coming-soon; site generations v1–v5 retained
  for lineage.
