RelayCTX · Brand
Type System, version 3.5.
Three typefaces, each with a distinct role, on neutral-first surfaces. Cormorant Garamond for display, Outfit for everything UI — including the wordmark — and JetBrains Mono for Codes and metadata. Syne is retired. Teal is a touch point, never chrome.

Type sits on neutral grey surfaces — no teal tint in the chrome. The system reads correctly in pure black & white; brand type joins next, then teal touch points last.
The canonical pairing: Cormorant italic for display, Outfit for UI. Editorial contrast up top, functional clarity everywhere else. Teal is limited to the pulse, the CTA, and the Code.

Relay captures your working context — tools, tabs, decisions — and lets you drop it anywhere. Keep your team in sync without the re-explanation.
The pipe runs both ways.
Not just a handoff — a live channel. Push context forward to a new session, or pull it back into the one you're in. The relay stays open until you close it.
Editorial presence from Cormorant, functional clarity from Outfit. Neutral surfaces let the teal touch points do the signalling.
Two brand-critical type moments. The wordmark is the Open Signal mark (mark colours itself via currentColor) plus an Outfit-600 wordmark. The Code is JetBrains Mono 600, uppercase, 0.15–0.18em tracked.
-
Cormorant is italic for display — never upright for body. Cormorant's upright cuts are too classical for UI text. Reserve the italic for marketing moments: hero headings, section titles, editorial pull quotes.
-
Outfit handles everything UI — and the wordmark. Nav, buttons, forms, labels, tooltips, body copy, error messages, loading states, and the RelayCTX wordmark (600 · −0.02em). Weights 300–600 are in scope; 700 for h1 only.
-
Syne is retired. The v3.3 wordmark face is gone. Do not reintroduce it, and do not treat any single moment as needing a fourth typeface — the wordmark is now Outfit 600 text, never an image.
-
JetBrains Mono is strictly Codes and metadata. Relay Codes, session IDs, timestamps, API keys, eyebrow labels. Never use it for paragraph text, headings, or marketing copy.
-
Surfaces stay neutral; teal is a touch point. Backgrounds, cards, and panels are neutral grey. Teal (
--rly-accent-*) appears only on links, Codes, the mark, focus rings, button fills, and the pulse — never as chrome tint. The motion-only#00D9C8pulse is never rendered as a static fill.
